MERCI MES AMIES, THANK YOU MY FRIENDS

Tonight Canada said goodbye to the world, we sent you all of on your way and I hope you enjoyed you stay. These games touched my country, erased the categories that divide our population. No longer do we define ourselves soley by our home province, no longer do we declare ourselves French or English Canadians. No now we all stand under the same flag the same name.... we stand together ontop of these vast mountains and are more then proud to call ourselves Canadians.

It would've mattered if we won our lost, we cheered for those who fell, for those who exceled, for our neighbours who proved their own countries proud.

Our humble pride, became a strong sense of nationally unity, and patriotism was abundant from sea to sea. We showed the world what it really meant to live in the TRUE NORTH STONG AND FREE.

Now to my point, Canada didn't do this on her own. It was you, the world who let us shine. You choose us to showcase your athletes and for two weeks you let us share our home. You watched and cheered for our athletes as they gave Canada hope and you cried when we cried, you laughed when we laughed.

THANK YOU, FOR LETTING US SHOW YOU THAT ALTHOUGH WE OVERUSE EH? AND MAYBE SAY SORRY A BIT TO MUCH, THAT CANADA ITSN'T A COUNTRY TO BE WALKED ALL OVER. THANK YOU FOR GIVING CANADIAN'S THIS BEUTIFUL GIFT, YOU CAN'T EVER IMAGINE HOW GOOD THIS WAS FOR MY COUNTRY.

WITH TEARY EYES, AND WITH GLOWING HEARTS CANADIANS THANK YOU.

MIRANDA
